Calling for Actors & Educational Workshop Facilitator

Teatrino is Educo’s Theatre in Education programme. Each year, our tours perform for over 100 000 students and teachers across the country, making Teatrino the largest project of its kind in Italy. Educo is a non-profit organisation endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Education, operating successfully for over 20 years. The company promotes a student-based teaching method which uses drama to teach English to children all around Italy.

Teatrino is specifically looking for energetic, enthusiastic and flexible Actors and Storytellers, with Theatre in Education experience, to tour Italian schools from January- end of May 2026. They will be selecting:

12 actors to participate in our ‘Fairytales & Sketches’ tours, which will form three groups, each of which will tour various regions of Italy. Performances and workshops consist of classic fairytales as well as six original comedic sketches adapted for a specific language level, focusing on a particular theme and grammatical point.

3 Workshop Facilitators to lead their national Storytelling Tour (Comprising 5 performance based workshops for primary school children). There is only one Storytelling group which will travel across Italy next year. In this tour, our facilitators transform classrooms into a dream space, where the children are led interactively through one of our five enchanting stories. These again focus on a particular language level, theme and grammatical point. This group works exclusively with primary school children.

*Please note: Teatrino tours require a minimum of two drivers per group. Being a driver is not a mandatory requirement for applying or being accepted, however it can give you an edge over other candidates.
