Theatre, Multidisciplinary Practice
Resonant Shore Theatre CIC is a socially-engaged theatre rooted in cultural and community building, storytelling and participation. We previously founded a constituted community group, BN(O) Mothers Ethnodrama, now formally registered as a Community Interest Company to create further impact for our works.
We create group-devised theatre with migrant and displaced communities from everyday life, navigating profound transitions of identify, care and belonging through the power of theatre-making. At the heart of our practice is performance and ethnography where we take a research-based approach to our creative process that transforms lived experience into artistic performance that inspires audience.
Our projects nurture cultural awareness to the wider communities by creating artistic spaces of collective reflection and building peer support networks. Through telling stories of real people and creating opportunity for community participation, our performances connect communities, deepen empathy, enable social dialogue and multicultural understanding.
Working across cities including Manchester and London, we connect people and partnerships and create social cohesion through projects and collaborations. Our works contribute to an inclusive multicultural landscape where under-represented voices are heard in the arts, visible, valued and celebrated.
