My Community Story
Reconnect with people's stories, cultures, and emotions
My community work in the UK has grown from a commitment to creativity, care, and connection. As an Activities Coordinator in a care home, I design meaningful experiences that support residents’ wellbeing, encouraging gentle expression and shared joy. Beyond the care home, I volunteer as a heritage guided tour docent and contribute to local social prescribing initiatives, helping people access arts‑based activities that strengthen confidence and belonging.
Art continues to be a central thread in my community practice. I facilitate creative projects across different groups, using accessible mediums to help participants reconnect with their stories, cultures, and emotions. My work extends into the Hong Kong diaspora community: as a core member of SheNet, I provide helpline support to Hong Kong women in the UK, offering listening, guidance, and culturally attuned care. I also serve as an art facilitator within SheNet and contribute to a wider support hub dedicated to empowering Hong Kong women through creativity, wellbeing resources, and peer connection.
Across all these roles, my aim is consistent — to build spaces where people feel seen, supported, and able to grow through community, culture, and creativity.
